At 6am this morning I experienced my first proper earth tremour. It wasn’t much by Vanuatu standards but had my coffee cup jiggling…kinda cool!

Indulging in some extra internet this week to Skype friends and fam (if you want to catch up with me this way, just let me know and we can sort out a time) I stumbled across this. I don’t really know why, but this sort of visual snapshots of life appeal to me…maybe i’ll work on doing something similar to have a slightly different way of chronicling V-land?

It may just be the unhealthy amount of zombie/vampire movies my flatmate Tom has in his collection, but I think I got attacked by a creature of darkness last night.
I was walking home from cell group up at the USP residences when I felt something skitter and over my foot. Thinking it one of the ubiquitous rats I kicked at it and heard a satisfying rustle in the nearby bushes. Then my ankle began to hurt…really hurt.
Looking down, there were two drops of blood making their way down from my ankle. I’d been bitten! No signs of vampirism or zombie-like behaviour yet.

Maybe it was just a centipede…
